TAQA Assessor Training

Our Compliance Manager, Fran, has joined 2 other Guernsey Recycling Group staff in taking the Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance (TAQA) qualification at the College of FE.

Fran, Simon Welch (Associate Director of Environmental Compliance), and Matt Cox (Operations Director) started their TAQA training early September 2021.

Once TAQA qualified, Fran, Simon and Matt will be able to teach the Environmental aspect of the new Island Operative Apprenticeship. Apprentices will achieve a WAMITAB Award in Waste and Recycling at Levels 1 and 2, as the IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management, as part of the 2 year Operative programme.

3 assignments down, 3 to go (for Unit 1!). They will be starting the practical units later this year. Keep up the good work guys!
