Recertification Day!

The moment of reckoning is nigh…

Our External Auditor landed in Guernsey on a very rainy Tuesday morning, and we kicked off the 2 day audit with the Opening Meeting. As always, there was plenty to catch up on as we provided a summary of how the industry has changed, including continuing impact of Brexit and changes in environmental and waste legislation, and the new anti-Discrimination Ordinance in Guernsey; new Customer requirements, and changes in roles and responsibilities within the Galaxy and GRG Teams.  

It's only when you take a moment to reflect on the past 6 months do you realise how much has happened, and how much you have achieved even when it didn’t feel like it at the time!

The auditor reviewed each of Galaxy’s Information Security, Quality, Environment and Health and Safety Management Systems; and was suitably impressed with the Team’s hard work and attention to detail.

Galaxy achieved re-certification against the ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management and ISO 27001 Information Security Management Standards, and Fran received a round of applause for her change management process. The Auditor even sent her a Certificate of Excellence!

Hurrah!

A huge well done to all the Galaxy Team for their hard work. We’ll be going for breakfast to celebrate.
